Cash sponsorships

Brands pay your group a monthly amount for deliverables you choose, and Heylo handles the contract, the invoicing, the placements, the review, and the payout.

A sponsorship on Heylo is a cash deal between a brand and your group. The brand pays a monthly amount for the deliverables in an offer you send, such as an announcement to members, a social media post, or a sponsored event. Heylo writes the agreement, places the brand's banner across your group, reviews each deliverable, and invoices the brand. Your group is paid in full. Sponsorships are available to every group on every plan, and only admins see the sponsorship admin portal: open the group tab and select Sponsorships.

How a sponsorship happens

  1. Set up your sponsor profile. Heylo fills in your group's verified metrics, and you get a sponsorship link to share with brands.
  2. A brand opens your link and sends a request. Review it, then decline it or approve the brand and send customized offers.
  3. The brand accepts an offer, or counters, and the offer becomes the agreement. Nothing reaches your members and no money moves until you both accept.
  4. Run the sponsorship: submit each deliverable from the admin portal, and Heylo reviews it.
  5. Each month's payout arrives in your group's bank account once the month's deliverables are approved.

What members see

Members are not asked to do anything, and nothing about how your group works changes. While a sponsorship runs, the brand's banner appears with an Official partner label on your group page, event pages, the event summary, the registration confirmation, and the group tab. When the brand has set a link, selecting the banner opens it. The brand's banner also appears in your email blasts and newsletter. When the sponsorship starts, members may also see a one-time welcome screen that names the brand and says it is now supporting your group. Members also see any other deliverables you agree to, such as an announcement or a sponsored event. Members are never identified to the brand: it sees counts, submissions, and impressions, not names.

Sponsorship terms

When you accept an offer, you acknowledge the Heylo Sponsorship Terms along with the agreement for that sponsorship. The terms carry the rules that matter most. Heylo approves each deliverable, a rejected one has 7 days to be fixed, and a month's payout is sent within 60 days of its last deliverable being approved. You can read the agreement for any live sponsorship from its admin portal under View sponsorship terms.

Admins control sponsorships

Only admins can set up the sponsor profile, answer requests, send offers, accept an offer, submit deliverables, and see payouts. Hosts and members see the brand's placements and nothing else. If you are a host who wants your group sponsored, ask an admin to set up the sponsor profile.
