Your group is never sponsored without your approval: the brand does not reach your members, and no money moves, until you accept a sponsorship offer. The brand cannot see your offers or pricing until you send them. When a brand requests to sponsor your group, you receive suggested offers from Heylo based on your group's sponsor profile and comparable group sponsorships. You can adjust them before sending them to the brand. The brand pays Heylo's platform fee in addition to what your group is paid. You receive the price in your offer.
Review the request
Open the group tab, select Sponsorships, and under Requests select the brand. The Sponsor request screen shows the brand's logo, name, description, photos, and website.

Decide. Select Decline if the brand is not a fit, or Next to approve the brand and move on to your offers.
Declining asks for a Reason, which is optional. Select Decline request to confirm.
A request expires 7 days after the brand sends it. Heylo reminds you each day while it waits with Sponsor request waiting, and on the last day with Sponsor request expires today. An expired request leaves the list.
Send your offers
Any offer you send is deemed accepted by you and can be accepted by the brand. If you both accept, the sponsorship goes live. The Send your sponsorship offers screen starts with the offers Heylo suggests based on your sponsor profile and comparable group sponsorships, and every suggested offer includes Heylo placements. They are a starting point: you can edit, add, or remove any offer, and you need at least one offer to share with the brand. What goes into an offer, and what each deliverable means, is in Sponsorship offers and deliverables.

- Review each offer. Turn off any you do not want to send, or select Edit offer to change its name, monthly price, duration, and deliverables.
- Select New offer to add one of your own.
- Select Send sponsorship offers. Heylo confirms with "Offers sent to" the brand's name, and the request moves to Pending on the Sponsorships screen.
To change your offers after sending, open the request again, make the change, and select Update offers.
Offers expire 7 days after you send them. Heylo warns you with Your offers expire soon, then tells you when they expire, and you can send new ones. Expired and declined offers leave the Sponsorships screen. A brand that declines your offers does not trigger a notification; the request simply leaves the list.
Brand accepts offer
The brand has 7 days to accept one of your offers. You receive an Offer accepted notification. The sponsorship goes live once the brand finishes signing and payment setup, and then appears under Active or Scheduled on the Sponsorships screen with its start date. If 3 days pass without that, Heylo tells you with Sponsorship not live yet. From there, your group completes the deliverables and gets paid each month: see Run your sponsorship and Sponsorship payouts.
Accepting a sponsorship turns on your group's weekly email newsletter for active members, inactive members, and invitees, so the sponsor's placements reach everyone. If the newsletter had no schedule, it is set to Mondays at 10:00 in your group's timezone. You can change both in your email newsletter settings.
Brand sends you an offer
You can also receive a sponsorship offer from the brand, either as a counter to one of yours or from a campaign the brand already has underway. Sponsorship offers from a brand show in the same way, as a pending offer on the Sponsorships screen, with a banner counting down the 7 days until it expires. A counter arrives as a New counter offer notification, with reminders after 24 and 72 hours if you have not answered. An offer you let lapse arrives as Sponsorship offer expired.
- Open the offer.
- Select Send reply, then Accept offer, Counter, or Decline.
Accepting opens the Sponsorship agreement to read and acknowledge, then Accept sponsorship. Countering opens the Counter offer editor with the brand's offer filled in. A counter always creates a new offer the brand can accept or counter, and it expires 7 days after you send it. Declining ends the request.
