About
Portland Rivian Club would like you to join us for a leisurely drive thru the fall colors on one of Oregon's famous Covered Bridge tour routes on Saturday, Oct 18th.
We will visit 6 different bridges while we meander through the rural areas of Linn County. The bridges are a great opportunity for a quick photo op as you can see in the banner picture above. (Just be courteous to the local folks driving thru). The fall colors should be at least present if not in full "POP" this weekend as we inch closer to the dark days of winter. We will meet at Riverside Grocery in Jefferson Oregon at 10am in the parking lot between the store and the river. We will then head to Gilkey Covered Bridge, Hoffman, Larwood, Shimanek and Hannah bridges (in that order) before ending at the Jordan Covered Bridge in Stayton. Be aware that we may not want to park 5 Rivians on a bridge for a photo otherwise there might not be a bridge when you're done 🙂
Once we reach the end, you can feel free to head out for the rest of your day, or join us for a BBQ lunch in Pioneer Park, Stayton. This is home of the last stop, Jordan Covered Bridge.

[Expert Level] If anyone wants an earlier start to the day, or if you are coming from Central Oregon over Hwy 20, there are 3 additional bridges that can be added to the route - Short Covered Bridge, Weddle Covered Bridge and the Crawfordsville Bridge. If you want to take this route, I would start at the Short Covered Bridge somewhere between 8:30-9:00a. You can always drive straight to Gilkey from the last of the three and catch up with the others there. This is the Google routing for this -

- Be sure to plan appropriately for this charging wise as the DCFC options are very limited (there is one 62kw Chargepoint in Lebanon, otherwise a side track to Albany EA may be needed)
Hope to see you there !
