đź’ˇWhat is GNP?
A women-only social event organization to help adult women meet, mingle, and create genuine friendships because making friends as an adult is HARD. We host monthly events to help bring the (girl) bar bathroom banter to the real world!
🫶Our mission
We want to create a safe space for women to be themselves. We understand the vulnerability it takes to put yourself out there, but, remember, we are all there for the same reason! We have had the honor of being referred by multiple psychiatrists and therapists who say our events are a great way to overcome depression and loneliness. If you are shy, we are there to help you meet your people!
đź’°Why does it cost money to attend?
Your ticket ALWAYS gets you something at our events (food, drink, activity, opportunities for raffles etc.), but GNP actually doesn’t take a single dollar from the ticket sales. We give the businesses we collaborate with 100% of the profit made from ticket sales, so we help support local businesses and never nickel and dime our attendees!
👩🏼‍🏫Why did you start GNP?
I was a third grade teacher and new to the PNW. I struggled with making friends in the workplace because my colleagues were predominantly older than I was and didn’t know how to make friends as an adult! I was single and didn’t want to join a co-Ed softball league because I was desperate from female friendship, so I started GNP as a desperate attempt to make friends. We are now 3 years old and in Spokane, Seattle, and Olympia.
❓FAQs
How old are our attendees? Anyone over the age of 21 is welcome because women of all ages deserve friendship. We just ask you are 21 because we serve alcohol at a lot of our events. We have had women from 21 to 75 years old, but our typical age range is 25-35.
What if I don’t drink? If we are advertising an alcoholic beverage as part of the ticket price, please know that your ticket will also cover nonalcoholic beverages! We never want you to feel like you HAVE to drink if you don’t want to.
What do you do during the events? Each event is completely different! We try to appeal to all sorts of interests. We’ve had pottery classes, wine tastings, Halloween parties, and wellness retreats. We’ve even gone to a few sporting events!
Who is welcome at these events? If you are a woman or identify as a woman, you are welcome at our events. Sorry boys!
