We are a group of people who like to get together and discuss novels available in English. The group has been thriving since 2014, when we started as a Jane Austen book club - that's why there's an (A) in ELBA.

Our season runs from September to May, and we meet on the third Tuesday of each month except December. Each meeting has a discussion leader who gives a brief comment on the book to get the discussion going. We discuss the book (in English) for about an hour and then have a 'fika' and a more free-ranging chat for those who want to stay on.
These are physical meetings, but we have Zoom in the room for those who can't come to Gothenburg or prefer to join from home.

We welcome anyone who is interested in discussing literature in English. Some ELBA members are also in the Anglo-Swedish Society or the British Club in Gothenburg, but the groups are independent of each other.
