Love the outdoors and good company? Join our group of gays who thrive on fresh air, epic views, and outdoor adventures across the PNW. We’re all about hiking, biking, skiing, paddling, rafting and whatever else the outdoors offers. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or just looking for outdoor city adventures, you'll find home with your homos here. 🌈
Please know I want everyone to feel welcome and to love being part of this group. Please let me know if you have comments, questions, event ideas, or suggestions for improving the group or member experience.
Please review our group rules below, which members agree to when joining and by maintaining membership in our group.
1. Be Kind & Have Fun!
2. Use a real and current photo as your profile photo.
3. Use your real first name in your profile.
4. For legal liability issues, every attendee at every group event must be a group member. No guests are allowed who are not group members. SIMPLE GUEST SOLUTION: If you’d like to bring a guest, simply have them join the group.
5. Change Your RSVP if You Can't Make It: If you RSVP yes but can no longer join, change your response in the system or text the event leader directly if you cannot join. Habitual no-shows will result in removal from the group.
6. Please remember to leave no trace and practice basic trail etiquette such as yielding right-of-way to uphill climbers and no amplified music.
7. Please read and understand event descriptions to make sure you are capable, comfortable and safe before you sign up for an event.
8. Understand, agree and adhere to the following: The events this group hosts are not paid guided hikes or paid guided experiences, and the event hosts aren’t experts – The events are simply fun group events. The host is not responsible for participant supplies, meals/snacks, safety or transportation. EVERYONE is welcome, from beginners to experts, but please understand your limits and don't join a difficult rated 10-mile hike with 3000' of elevation if you've never done a 5-mile hike with 1000' of elevation. Have fun, be kind and be helpful to one another. We strongly encourage carpooling as it reduces our carbon footprint, helps with limited trailhead parking and builds comradery among members. Drivers are always needed and riders are expected to pay $20 to the driver to cover the cost for gas, wear & tear and convenience.
9. Agree to the following: All activities hosted by the group involve risk. By becoming a member and/or participating in events offered by our group, you agree to release, hold harmless, and indemnify this group, its members, and its organizers from any and all liability. You alone are responsible for your safety and comfort.
Thanks so much for supporting the great outdoors and our OUT in the Wild group! Looking forward to seeing you outside! 🌈😊
Yours,
Thad Caperton
