The Dublin Acoustic Circle is all about creating relaxed evenings where people can share music in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.
We go around in a song circle, an informal and inclusive format where everyone has the chance to share a song.
Musicians, singers and songwriters of all abilities are very welcome. There's no expectation of perfection - it's about enjoying music together, trying new things and encouraging one another. We love a bit of laughter, plenty of encouragement, and chats in between songs.
We're especially keen to encourage women, LGBTQ+ people, and anyone from groups that have traditionally been underrepresented in music sessions to come along. Everyone is welcome, and we want the circle to be a friendly, respectful space where everyone is respected equally.
Singers are very welcome to perform a cappella, or you might even find someone in the circle who's happy to accompany you. Guests and observers are welcome too.
Our aim is simple: to build a friendly community where people can make music together, discover new songs, and enjoy the magic of live acoustic performance.
