Have you yearned for deep connection with a group of women you could really relate to, kind of like the Ya Ya Sisterhood, but older and wiser?
We have all spent from 20 - 30 years (or more!) raising kids and putting our own wants & needs on the back burner. Friends move away, or drift apart under the toll of competing demands. At this point, our group is all over 55 (I think 55-68 about covers us), and some of us have grown kids at home, but most of our kids are (relatively) launched. We want to consciously make space for real friendship and connection with other authentic women. This will involve brunches, walks or hikes, movies, concerts, board games, book discussions, lots of deep conversation and hanging out "In Real Life."
Our group is diverse in certain ways and would love to be more so -- we have a range of ethnicities, income and marital status, and many of us have (adult) kids that are struggling more or less on the road to becoming independent adults, and we are all on the left side of the political spectrum. Trump supporters and anti-feminists wouldn't feel at home in this group.
To be a mom with an empty nest (or working toward it!) who wants to connect with like-minded women for brunch, our book group, occasional movie nights or other outings, as suggested by group members. We keep the group small by design, so everyone who wants to join us for brunch can fit at a table!
