About
About the event: Come and say hello! 👋 This is your chance to meet friendly people, practise different languages, and feel more connected to the Adelaide community. Whether you’re new in town or just love meeting people from diverse backgrounds, you’re welcome here! There are no rules about age, level, or experience — just curiosity and good vibes.
How it works: It’s a casual, friendly catch-up where everyone can share stories, practise languages, and join fun social activities. Grab a drink, make yourself comfortable, and start chatting — it’s that simple! No pressure to arrive right on time or stay the whole night — just come and go as it suits you.
If you’d like to practise a particular language, let me know and I’ll help connect you with someone who speaks it. And if you prefer just to socialise, join one of our casual chats or mini “get-to-know-you” games — they’re a great way to start conversations!
Why join? This event is more than a language exchange — it’s about building connections, sharing cultures, and feeling part of the community. From time to time, we also plan small group activities like café meetups, walking chats, board games, or cultural food nights — perfect for making real friendships that go beyond one evening.
Venue: We’ll be meeting at Saracens Head Hotel, in the cosy fireplace area. If you can’t find us, just ask the staff. The event is free, but please support the venue by grabbing a drink or snack — they kindly offer our group discounted prices: $7 beers, $6 house wine, $10 spritzes, and $15 Negronis.
Code of Conduct: 1. We’re committed to keeping this space friendly, inclusive, and safe for everyone. 2. Please be kind, respectful, and open-minded toward people from all cultures and walks of life. 3. If you ever feel uncomfortable, come and talk to me — your feedback matters and helps us make this space better for all.
Can’t wait to meet you and share good energy, laughter, and conversations! 🌏💬
