Alpine Meadows is our warm season hike series, at or above timberline. Once the Ski Basin closes (early on March 22 this year) we start climbing the snow to get a taste of Cascades climbing, but it quickly will transition to watching the tundra and meadows wake up, as the water runs downhill. We start with 5 mile roundtrips to Deception, Tesuque, and Lake, then begin our 7 ways back all summer and Fall, with other peaks tossed in for variety.
