Run Talk Run exists to make both running and mental health support less intimidating and more accessible.
A friendly, free and supportive group, Run Talk Run is a safe and open space to talk how you are doing; the good times, the not so good times and everything in between.
Whilst we chat, we run or jog 5km. We don’t care about speed or pace and nobody is less behind… whether you are a seasoned ultra marathon runner or coming along to your first bit of exercise in a while, all are welcomed and encouraged.
We meet outside Springwood Leisure Centre at 6:15pm. Free parking is available at the centre, and also the local precinct.
If you are thinking about coming along for the first time, but are worried about the running, or conversations, please don’t be. Our run is really gentle, if we walk for a bit or all of it, then that really is fine. And as much as conversations around mental health are encouraged and expected, there is no pressure to talk about anything you don’t want to (we get it, talking about your mental health can be super scary!) If you want to come along and just listen to the other runners, you will be welcomed all the same.
