Chicago Canine Rescue is looking for individuals to help volunteer with their shelter. Chicago canine is very near and dear to my heart as I’ve fostered dogs and volunteered my time walking dogs and working different events to help raise donations for the shelter.

Below are the current needs of the shelter for volunteers.
Donations Organization:
1-4 people to become a donations team, who work with staff to accomplish the following. Please state if you are willing to execute the work or help plan and coordinate the work.
Help us plan a way to move donations generously given to us, into the areas that need it most with the least amount of waste, and also learn how to best store, and free up staff time from a significant workload sorting, cleaning, and storing donations.
Help Staff by sorting through our donations and putting them neatly away.
Move Donations we do not need in our facility to other community locations where they can be useful to people and pets.
Yard Work and Sweater Organizing - PRE SNOW Prep!
Next Thursday on November 3rd we would love 3 people to email us to sign up for our Pre Snow Prep Day ! Bring Work gloves if you have them and help us rake leaves, sort paw salt and sweaters for dogs.
Volunteer and Foster Coordinator: There may be 1-4 people in the volunteer and foster coordination team. The
communication between staff and people who love to help CCR is what we need!
Staff perform the actual dog meet and greets. The foster coordinator is welcome to attend and learn this role but there will always be a staff management team member making those decisions and meeting requirements for safety.
Picking up supplies and getting them to fosters who can't get them themselves
Coordinating medical visits and dog care
Welcoming new fosters and giving them resources and support
Answering questions and concerns
Checking and answering correspondence via email, phone, zoom meetings and scheduling in Google calendar.
Being available for trouble shooting and be able to reach upper management in case of emergency.

Everything we do here is for the dogs we care for and we absolutely need your support to help raise the funds and connect us with people who might help us help more dogs!
