We are excited to announce the first New Jersey Clojurians event! The event will be located at the NJ Rock Gym in Fairfield on Friday, November 13 at 6 PM, and we’d love for you to join us.
This meetup is open to the public and for people of all experience levels. Whether you’ve never written a line of Clojure, never touched a climbing wall, or both, you are welcome to join. We’ll start in the booked event room with food and introductions, where everyone can share their experience with Clojure and what they’ve been working on. At 7:00 we’ll dive into an informal, interactive 20 to 30 minute introduction to Clojure, followed by a quick Q&A and discussion.
I’ll present from a laptop on a big monitor so everyone can see, but if you want to code along, please bring your own laptop. I’ll bring a power strip, in case we need more outlets. Also, I do plan to record at least the introduction to clojure meeting and Q&A.
At 8:00 we head out to the walls! NJ Rock Gym is generously offering discounted climbing for as long as you want, until they close. New climbers are especially encouraged!
Huge thanks to NJ Rock Gym for hosting us and providing the room. See you there!
*Note: If you have not been to this gym before, you will have to sign a waiver and run through a brief introduction to the gym if you are interested in climbing. You could do that before, or after the meeting.
