Get ready for a night of salsa, merengue, delicious Latin food, and new friendships! Yinzers Meet is bringing a little Cuban flavor to Pittsburgh with ¡AZÚCAR! Salsa + Social, an evening dedicated to celebrating Latin culture, bringing people together, and supporting the people of Cuba.
And the best part? 50% of ticket proceeds will go directly toward Cuban humanitarian relief efforts, helping provide essential necessities to people in need.
🇨🇺 Dancing for Cuba
Cuba is facing an ongoing humanitarian crisis. Under decades of authoritarian rule, economic hardship, shortages, and restrictions on basic freedoms, many Cuban families struggle to access everyday necessities like food, medicine, and clothing.
For this event, we want to do more than celebrate Cuban culture. We want to give back to the people who keep that culture alive.
Half of our ticket proceeds will be dedicated to humanitarian relief for Cuban families in need.
❤️ A Little Piece of My Heritage
Hey, I’m Sam, founder of Yinzers Meet!
I was raised by two Cuban immigrant parents, and my Cuban heritage has always been an important part of who I am. When I moved to Pittsburgh, one of my dreams was to bring more of that culture into the city I now call home.
Cuban culture is about so much more than music and dancing. It’s about family, community, hospitality, and finding joy even through difficult circumstances.
That’s exactly what I want this night to represent: an opportunity for people from every background to come together, learn something new, celebrate our differences, and maybe leave with a few new friends!
💃 What to Expect

Beginner Salsa + Merengue Lesson: Vincent from Crossbody Movement will kick off the evening with a 30-minute introductory dance class. No experience necessary!

Guided Social Dancing: Keep the rhythm going with guided dancing, partner rotations, and plenty of opportunities to practice your new moves.

Latin Food: Enjoy delicious Puerto Rican cuisine from Los Secretos de Mis Abuelos, available for purchase separately. (Specials available)

Mini Cultural Passport: Every guest receives a special mini passport booklet filled with interactive activities and conversation prompts designed to help you meet people from different cultures and backgrounds.

New Friends & Potential Dates: Whether you’re single, coming with friends, or showing up solo, our activities are designed to make meeting new people fun and effortless.
