About
The Intentionality Club is proud to partner with Katarina Fjording for a special interview event: "From Challenging Childhood to Global Executive: How Key Traits, Career Decisions, and Intentional Thinking made the difference!"
Katarina's Career Overview • Currently SVP for Innovation and Industry Engagement at College of Charleston, and senior advisor and consultant
• Prior to joining CofC, in SC, VP Purchasing & Manufacturing, and later Head of Volvo Car University and Sustainability for Volvo Cars America
• Held multiple leadership roles with F500 companies Volvo Cars and Ford Motor Company, overseeing major operations in Europe, Asia and America
Katarina Fjording spent almost four decades in the automotive industry, building a global career with Volvo and Ford across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Beginning as an engineer, she went on to lead the establishment of Volvo Cars' first industrial footprint in America. Today, she works as a senior advisor and consultant, and also serves as the College of Charleston's Senior Vice President for Innovation and Industry Engagement.
Along the way, Katarina made a series of intentional decisions that shaped the course of her life and career. She transitioned from engineering into leadership, relocated internationally, took on complex new challenges, built and led high-performing teams, and ultimately left the F500 corporate world to pursue a new chapter. At pivotal career moments, she chose growth over comfort and embraced the more difficult path.
Join us for this honest and vulnerable conversation, as Katarina shares the key traits and decisions that defined her journey and explains how intentional thinking guided her approach. We'll leave plenty of time for Q&A, so come with questions.
