About The Artist
Kyle Wagner (also known as Kyle 3 on Instagram @kylewagner3) is a multi-talented vocalist, keyboardist, and songwriter based in Hong Kong.
By day, he balances a prominent career as an international educational consultant. By night, he's a vibrant fixture of Hong Kong's indie music scene as the frontman of The Funkaphones.
The Funkaphones are known for blending 70s-style funk with modern pop grooves — think Hall & Oates meets Maroon 5. The band has played well-loved local music hubs like The Wanch and The Aftermath, and has taken the stage at major events including AIA Carnival and the Hong Kong Rugby 7s. They've also released an original EP, featured in an interview on RTHK Radio 3's Morning Brew.
Kyle is known for driving melodic piano riffs, soaring high-register vocals, and the occasional spontaneous multi-instrumental set — a performer who keeps audiences guessing and grinning in equal measure.
