📍 Sheldon Lake State Park
14140 Garrett Road, Houston, TX 77044
Houston, you coming outside? 👀🌿
Come hang with Houston Black Hikers for a laid-back afternoon at Sheldon Lake State Park. We’re getting some fresh air, moving our bodies, exploring the outdoors, meeting new people, and enjoying some good ol’ outside time together.
We’ll take an easy 2-mile nature walk through paved paths and natural terrain, with a chance to explore the Observatory Tower along the way.
And if you’re thinking, “I don’t know anybody…” — come anyway!
🌿 NEW TO HBH? YOU’RE WELCOME HERE!
You don’t need to be a seasoned hiker. You don’t need a hiking buddy. You don’t even have to know what you’re getting yourself into yet. 😂
Just pull up, say hey, and let the outdoors do the rest.
Come solo. Bring your bestie. Bring somebody who needs to get out the house. Either way, we’ll see you outside.
• Paved paths + natural terrain
• Observatory Tower exploration
• New faces + good conversation
• A welcoming, judgment-free HBH vibe
Water, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and a good attitude.
