Due to the conflict with the Palisade Parkway Half Marathon, we’ve canceled the Palisades run and are heading into the Queens and Brooklyn instead!
We will lead a 20-mile run starting at the Sherman Monument at 5th Ave & 59th St. We’ll cross the 59th Street Bridge, make our way to Gantry Plaza, cross the Pulaski Bridge, and head toward Calvary Cemetery via Newtown Creek Nature Park and Greenpoint Avenue Bridge. After exploring the cemetery, we’ll cross back over the Kosciuszko Bridge, continue through McGorlick Park, McCarren Park, Bushwick Inlet Park, and Domino Park, and finish in Williamsburg at Radegast Hall & Biergarten for Oktoberfest and a celebration of our Berlin Marathon finishers! 🇩🇪🍺
This is a 20-mile route with more than 800 feet of elevation gain, so it’s a solid training run with plenty of hills. There will be numerous water stops, ghost stories, cemetery facts, and bathrooms stops along the way.
There will also be opportunities to cut the route short using the 7 or G trains or the East River Ferry back to Manhattan.
We’ll have two pace groups:
9:30-ish pace
10:30-ish pace
