About
Join us for a classic coastal loop featuring the dramatic sandstone cliffs of the East Hill and the steep, rewarding climbs out of the 'Glens'. We'll reach the Fire Hills and pass through Fairlight and loop back via Guestling Woods. At 20km with over 650m of climbing, this is a fantastic challenge for those looking to build their hill legs on iconic maritime trails.
As with all our runs, this is a social group outing, not a race. We will be moving at a collective pace to ensure everyone stays together and enjoys the scenery. Expect to be out for around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on the group's rhythm. We’ll regroup at the top of major climbs to catch our breath and take in the panoramic views over the English Channel.
Please ensure you are wearing appropriate trail shoes, as the steep coastal steps and muddy glen paths can be slippery. Bring at least 500ml of hydration and enough nutrition to see you through 20km of climbing. We recommend a windproof layer, as the clifftops leaving Rock-a-Nore are pretty exposed to the elements.
