About
Imagine this...
It’s a dark October night in Pittsburgh. You’re home alone, the lights are low, and your favorite horror movie is playing in the background. You hear a noise — maybe it’s just the wind… or maybe it’s fate calling. You grab your keys, step out into the night, and find yourself at Urban Tap in Shadyside, surrounded by laughter, spooky cocktails, and other brave souls who dared to come out and flirt with fear.
And then — you see them. Maybe they’re dressed as Freddy, Jason, or Ghostface. You exchange a nervous smile over a drink that looks suspiciously like blood… and suddenly, this horror story doesn’t seem so scary after all. 🩸
We’re bringing the slasher fantasy to life with The Slayer Social — a Halloween-themed dating mixer for thrill-seekers, final girls, and anyone looking to make a killer connection.
🩸 WHAT TO EXPECT:
🎭 Horror-Themed Icebreakers & Mini Rounds
Fun, guided prompts inspired by classic horror icons — Jason, Freddy, Michael, and Ghostface — designed to help you meet your fellow “survivors.”
🔊 Scream-Off Challenge
Think you’ve got the lungs of a final girl? Give us your best horror movie scream — the crowd decides who lives (and wins).
🧠 Horror Trivia + Bingo
Test your slasher knowledge and battle it out in themed trivia and bingo rounds. Winners take home prizes and bragging rights.
🔪 The Mystery Killer Game
One guest is secretly “the killer.” Throughout the night, we’ll close our eyes as they silently “slay” their victims until the big reveal. Will you survive till the end?
📸 Bloody Photobooth & Polaroids
Capture your best horror-movie moment — whether it’s a scream, a slay, or a flirtatious near-death stare.
🍸 Special Halloween Menu by Urban Tap
Creepy cocktails and sinister bites — themed exclusively for this event.
🎁 Prizes & Giveaways
For trivia winners, best scream, best costume, and of course… our killer of the night.
