Thinking about joining an AIDS ride in 2027? If you watched from the sidelines this year, feeling just a little bit of FOMO as photos of red dresses, campfire laughter, finish-line hugs, and joyful reunions filled your feed, consider this your invitation to learn more about the AIDS rides happening in 2027, what to expect, and how to get started.
This informational session, presented by Positive Pedalers and Outspoken Cycle Club, will introduce the major Hiv/AIDS fundraising bicycle rides supported by Seattle’s LGBTQ+ cycling community, including: Cycle to Zero (North California), Center Ride Out (South California), the Friends for Life Bike Rally (Canada), and more rides you can expect in the Greater Seattle Area next year.
We’ll talk about what each ride is like, who they’re for, how to get involved, and what support you can get to prepare.
David Sierakowski from the San Francisco AIDS Foundation will join us again from San Francisco to tell us more about the California rides. We’ll also hear from alumni of past rides, who will share their experiences, training and fundraising tips, and answer your questions.
This is a chance to learn more, meet fellow cyclists, and get inspired. No commitment required. Bring your questions, bring a friend, and come see which ride might be right for you.
After 6:00 PM, we’ll head to Union Bar for happy hour, where you can continue the conversation with David and fellow riders.
