A circular walk up Tinto Hill a 712m Graham and Donald in South Lanarkshire. A visually prominent hill in the area this is a popular spot. A bronze age burial cairn caps the summit adding to the attraction.
Rather than go up the over-used path from Fallburn, we will go up the steeper southern side from Wiston and return via Lochlyoch Hill and Howgate Mouth. This will make a circular walk albeit with approx. 3km of quiet road walking (which will be split between the start and finish of the walk).
Hill information available at
https://www.hill-bagging.co.uk/hill-view/?rf=1678
