Queens of the Lizzie Line - UPDATED!!
π Shenfield is the eastern end of the Elizabeth Line so what better place to start this trip through the countryside?
π΄ββοΈ Starting from Shenfield station this ride is c67km long on mostly quiet country lanes. This will be a nice chilled ride so expect an average between 20 and 22km/h.
π There are two train options. Option 1 is to use the Lizzie Line to catch a Shenfield service but note that the Lizzie line trains are slower and stop a lot - check the times and aim to be at Shenfield between 09:30 and 10:00. Option 2 is to get the 09:23 from Liverpool Street, calling at Stratford 09:30 and arriving at Shenfield at 09:47. No bike reservations on either of the options needed.
π³π΅ββοΈ Country lanes and an undulating route will keep it cute and interesting. The majority of the ride is on lanes with some traffic in places so we will need to be careful and sensible in our riding.
βοΈ Cafe stop will be at a place called The Pedallers Pit Stop Cycle Cafe. Itβs just off the route near a village called Moreton. Itβs tucked away so suggest we stop and regroup in Moreton and then cycle to the cafe (1.5km) together.
