The Indian Springs to Dauset Trails route is a 9.9-mile out-and-back trail (4.95 miles each way) that connects Indian Springs State Park in Flovilla to the Dauset Trails Nature Center in Jackson, Georgia. It features roughly 508 feet of elevation gain, borders the scenic Lake McIntosh, and is popular for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking.
Per the website:
Trailhead Location: The connection starts near the visitor's center in Indian Springs (west of the spring) and merges into Dauset Trails at the 3.25-mile mark.
Duration: It takes an average of 3.5 to 4 hours to complete the full 9.9-mile out-and-back route.
Fees & Access: Indian Springs State Park requires an entrance fee (or annual Georgia State Parks pass). The 1,400-acre Dauset Trails Nature Center is free to enter and features a nature center and animal exhibits.
Trail Conditions: The path features some hilly and technical sections, making it moderately challenging but family-friendly.
