We will meet just outside the Boulder Creek RV Park. Members will choose to dry camp at
Diaz Lake
or camp with full hookups at Boulder Creek RV Park
.Friday Ride
On Friday we will ride over to the
Reward Mine
and those who are interested can ride their SxSs into the mine for about 150 yards. Next it back down into the valley and then up the long climb (9941ft.) to Mazourka Peak
. This will be our lunch stop. We will take a slightly different way down and head over to Manzanar
for an extended break. The ride back to camp will take us through the Alabama Hills
.Saturday Ride
On Saturday we will ride across the desert staying out of the
Owens Lake
. When we reach Keeler
, we will cross Highway 136 and enter the Swansea Trail
. After the rocky climb up the trail, we will take a side route over to one of the Saline Valley Salt Trams
for a short break. Next, we will continue our climb up the trail to the Burgess Mine and a great view of the Eastern Sierras. Then it's a short ride down to the trail than will take us to the Tram Station. After another break we will continue on the trail which will drop us down into Cerro Gordo
. This will be an extended stop. After exploring Cerro Gordo, we will take the main road back down into Keeler, then across the desert and back to camp. 59 miles RT.Sunday Ride
On Sunday we will explore the Alabama Hills taking many of the side trails to the
many destinations
.GPX Tracks will be posted as we get closer to the event date.
