Friday, July 17 | 6:00–9:00 PM
Caplock Athletics Studio | Logan Square
The week before WNBA All-Star Weekend takes over Chicago, join us for an evening celebrating women, basketball, creativity, and connection.
Women Rooted in the Game is an intimate experience designed for women who have played basketball, still play, or simply love the game. At Caplock Athletics, we believe performance isn't just about what happens on the court it's also about creating space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and build a community that supports your growth.
The evening begins with a guided somatic breath work session led by Coach Bri from 6:15–7:00 PM, helping you release the stress of the work week, reset your nervous system, and cultivate a mindset rooted in presence, joy, and growth.
After our breathwork session, we'll watch the Chicago Sky take on the Los Angeles Sparks while sharing in a hands-on planting experience. Each woman will transform a basketball into a planter, filling it with artwork, meaningful words, and personal intentions that speak to the season of life she's in. As you plant your greenery, you'll be reminded that growth isn't something we rush, it's something we care for. Just as a plant flourishes with patience, attention, and love, so do we. Leave with a living reminder to stay rooted in yourself, embrace the journey, and continue growing both on and off the court.
