We are hitting the pavement for the 4th Annual Juneteenth Run & Walk in partnership with Henry Ford Health. This year's route takes us through historic District 5 for either a 3-mile group run or a 1-mile community walk. We’ll be passing major neighborhood landmarks, including the Henry Ford Health Campus and the Detroit Pistons Practice Facility, where we will lock in for a group warmup and a massive squad photo before official takeoff. This is a supportive, fun group format open to all abilities and paces.
We are meeting up at 1 Ford Place. The on-site experience kicks off at 5:00 PM with a community resource fair, free health screenings, and a live DJ, followed by opening remarks at 6:15 PM and warmup at 6:30 PM before we officially take off at 6:40 PM. Parking is available at the 3rd St. Parking Lot (3rd & York) or the Center of Athletic Medicine parking garage (Amsterdam & 3rd St.). The event is completely free and features complimentary shirts and hydration on a first-come, first-served basis, but you must claim your free ticket on Eventbrite to secure your spot.
