Join Fleet Feet NYC and ASICS this Tuesday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. for a unique mile dash in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month.
In 2020, ASICS athlete Johnny Gregorek broke the world record for the fastest mile run in a pair of Levi’s blue jeans. Gregorek’s record-breaking effort had a deeper purpose: to honor his brother, who sadly lost his battle with depression. Since then, the ASICS Blue Jean Mile has become an opportunity to run while raising awareness and donations for mental health. So lace up your running shoes and throw on your favorite pair of denim on May 19!
You’ll have the opportunity to donate to NAMI-NYC, an organization that helps individuals and families affected by mental illness, demo the latest releases from ASICS, and enjoy post-run refreshments and raffles.
Bathrooms and bag check will be available.
RSVP here, and we’ll see you on May 19!
“Running is more than just cardio — it helps the mind. The better you feel inside, the better you feel running. It’s a beautiful thing.” — Johnny Gregorek
