Join Every Body Outdoors in the Peak District this summer.
Come along to a social weekend of outdoor activities in the Peak District on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July 2026. This weekend is being run by Every Body Outdoors in partnership with Osprey, supported by Páramo Outdoor Clothing and Vampire Outdoors. We’ll be creating a safe and inclusive space for the EBO community where you can get outdoors, try-on plus size kit, and get social!
•
Led walks starting mid morning (time TBC). There will be a choice of routes on offer, of different grades, all led by walk leaders and at an inclusive pace where the group stays together. More info below.
•
A big kit try-on event featuring rucksacks from Osprey, plus size clothing and kit from Páramo Outdoor Clothing and Vampire Outdoors, and items from the EBO kit pool. This will be a great opportunity to try on clothing and kit and see how it fits your body.
•
Evening social time for people to hang out, cook dinner, eat together, chat and connect with like-minded people from the EBO community.
•
An optional (ticketed) outdoor climbing event led by Cat, our trusted qualified instructor who has run our recent climbing events, and delivers our hill skills courses. Harnesses and kit provided. Morning
and afternoon
slots are available - these must be booked and paid for separately on Heylo. •
A led walk on Sunday morning for anyone who doesn’t want to join the climbing and wants a walk before heading home. Inclusive pace where the group stays together. Details to follow.

You are welcome to self-organise other activities at your own risk, outside the responsibility of EBO.

The weekend is based at YHA Castleton Losehill Hall
You are responsible for booking your own accommodation for the weekend and this is not included in the registration price.
There are the following accommodation options:
•
Other accommodation (hotels, B&Bs) locally.
Please note - car parking at the YHA cannot be guaranteed for non-residents.
You are welcome to join us just for the day on Saturday but you may need to park in Castleton, and/or get public transport to the YHA.
There will be two different walks on Saturday for you to choose from:
1)
Mam Tor and the Ridge to Loose Hill
Distance 11km /6.8miles , Ascent 500m
Duration. approx 5 hours
Steep bit of uphill to Mam Tor, but we can take it nice and slow. Enjoy the great views from Mam Tor and then travel along the ridge, we've done most of the hard work but there's a little bit of up and down. From Loose hill we follow a lovely path down the hill and back to the Hostel.
2)
Valley walk
Distance 7 km / 4.3 miles, Ascent 75m
Duration. approx 3 hours
A lovely walk across the fields to Hope and back along the river to explore picturesque Castleton.
You are responsible for your own food over the weekend. There is a self-catering kitchen at the YHA where you can cook for yourself, or the YHA has cooked food available to buy for breakfast and dinner. There are also cafes and pubs in Castleton which is a short distance from the YHA. Please note there is no supermarket or proper food shop in Castleton so please bring supplies with you.
There is parking at YHA Castleton if you are staying there (you need to enter your car registration at reception) but the car park is busy and we recommend arranging car sharing using the Chat function on Heylo.
The nearest train station is Hope, a few miles from Castleton YHA. From the station, take bus 272
from the main road and get off at the Losehill Hall stop for the YHA. The bus runs hourly. Alternatively you could arrange with other attendees to get a lift from the train station using the event chat in Heylo. Sorry, no dogs on the walks, at the climbing event, or at the kit try-on. We appreciate you love your pooches, but we recognise that not everyone in the community feels comfortable with dogs.
Bring your own appropriate clothing, sturdy boots/shoes and a backpack for the morning walk on Saturday (and at the climbing event if you’re attending). You may be able to borrow waterproofs from the kit pool subject to availability. Please arrive with extra time to spare on Saturday if you need to borrow items. You will also need to bring lunch, snacks and water for the walk.
Photography and video will be captured throughout the event by Every Body Outdoors and event partners (Osprey, Páramo Outdoor Clothing, Vampire Outdoors) for use across digital, social, and marketing channels.
By signing up, you consent to your image being used for these purposes. If you have concerns, please contact the organisers in advance. You will also have the option to opt out of photography during the climbing event.
If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your place so that someone on the waiting list is able to attend. If you cancel at least three weeks in advance and we are able to fill your space you will receive a refund for your ticket. Cancellations after 12th June will not be refunded.
The event will take place come rain or shine! No refunds will be given because of inclement weather.
ABOUT EVERY BODY OUTDOORS
Every Body Outdoors are fighting for clothing, gear, and representation for larger/plus-size bodies in the outdoors movement in the UK, so Every Body can feel safe and welcome on the hills, trails, lakes, and more. We are working with brands and retailers to improve the availability and fit of plus size outdoors clothing and kit, whilst also providing online and in-person opportunities for our community to gain skills and confidence and meet other plus size outdoors lovers.
We have a code of conduct that we expect all event attendees to adhere to, and you will be asked to agree to this when you register. In
