Join Afros in Nature, along with our allies, advocates and co-conspirators for our annual whitewater rafting event on the Lehigh River in the beautiful Poconos. Our trip falls on a dam release weekend, promising extra water, more rapids and endless fun. Whitewater rafting is not just a rush, but an exercise in communication and teamwork as you navigate the river. It’s an experience unlike any other.
Whether you’re a seasoned paddler or new to the sport, this family-friendly event offers the perfect mix of excitement and challenge – all in a safe and supportive environment.

🩳 Wear bathing suits or clothes you don't mind getting wet
🩴 Closed-toed shoes ONLY (Water shoes, Tevas, Crocs, Keens, etc). NO flips or slides will be allowed
👧🏽 If bringing a child under 98 lbs please let us know so our outfitter has correct life vests for them
🥪 Lunch will be provided by Afros in Nature
