About
Join us for a scenic 20km (12 mile) coastal adventure across the South Downs, linking the riverside village of Southease with the dramatic white cliffs between Newhaven and Telscombe Cliffs. This route combines rolling downs, sea views, and cliff-top running, offering a brilliant mix of terrain and a proper taste of the Sussex coastline with 330m (1000ft) of elevation gain.
As with all our runs, this is a social group outing, not a race. We will move at a collective pace to keep everyone together and enjoy the surroundings. Expect to be out for about 2.5 to 3 hours with time to regroup at key points—especially along the clifftops where the views out over the Channel are hard to beat.
Please ensure you are wearing appropriate trail shoes, as the chalk paths and coastal sections can be uneven and slippery underfoot. Bring at least 1 litre of hydration and enough nutrition to keep you going for the duration of the run. A windproof layer is strongly recommended, as the exposed coastal paths can be particularly breezy.
