Join us for a stunning 21.5km (13 mile) South Downs adventure linking the ancient hill fort of Cissbury Ring with the iconic clump of trees at Chanctonbury Ring. This route offers a rewarding mix of rolling ridges, steady climbs and flowing descents on some classic chalk trails with a total of 450m (1400ft).
As with all our runs, this is a social group outing, not a race. We will be moving at a collective pace to ensure everyone stays together and enjoys the scenery. Expect to be out for around 2.5 to 3 hours depending on the group's rhythm. We’ll regroup at the top of major climbs to catch our breath and take in the views over the Weald.
Please ensure you are wearing appropriate trail shoes, as the steep descents can be slippery. Bring at least 1 litre of hydration and enough snacks to see you through the run. We recommend a windproof layer as some of the ridges on this route are quite exposed to the elements.
