Event Details: Frosty Mountain is the highest peak in Manning Park (2,408m) and one of the most spectacular fall hikes in British Columbia 🍁. This trail is famous for its stunning golden larches, alpine meadows, rocky ridges, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
We will take the Lightning Lakes trailhead and follow the switchbacks through the forest, passing alpine meadows before reaching the larch tree area. From there, we continue up to the ridge and summit for breathtaking views.
Hike Stats: • Distance: ~22 km round trip • Elevation Gain: ~1,200 m • Duration: 8–10 hours • Difficulty: Challenging (long day, steep sections, high elevation)
What to Bring: • Good hiking boots 🥾 • Layers (weather at the summit can be windy & cold) 🧥 • 2–3L of water + snacks & lunch 🍫🥪 • Hiking poles (recommended) • Headlamp (safety) • Camera 📸 (for larch season beauty!)
