It's May, it's sunny but not too hot, and it's a couple weeks BEFORE the bays get crowded with "amateurs" clogging up the firepits.
That's why we're going to bonfire it up on Saturday, May 9.
Location: Leisure Lagoon by the playground area.

I'll bring the firewood. You bring a food or drink item (I'll have coolers).
We're going from 1PM until 9PM or 10PM most likely, so feel free to arrive whenever you like.
If you can, list what you're bringing, so we don't end up with 17 bags of cookies (though that doesn't sound so bad, the more I think about it).
Prepare for the weather to get a little colder as the night goes on, of course. Chairs, blankets, and extra jackets are good to consider.
I'm also sharing this event with my veterans group, so you may have the opportunity to meet your next Air Force Adonis or Special Forces Starlet.
