This route loops through peaceful forest trails before dropping down to run alongside the River Avon. The path follows the river for a long, scenic stretch under thick tree cover before climbing back up into the woods on winding dirt trails. Along the way there are a few punchy hills, flowing singletrack sections, and the occasional muddy patch or small stream crossing depending on the weather. It’s a really enjoyable forest loop with a mix of riverside running and quiet woodland paths. 🌲🏃🏾
Don’t let the distance put you off! We always have plenty of breaks along the way and once we get into the forest the run slows down a lot, to a little faster than walking pace. This is one of the best routes in Bristol so please feel free to join us!
