About
How to Host Events People Actually Show Up To
A live webinar with Community Event Host & Strategist
Chaselle Gazelle
This session is part of a monthly webinar series co-produced by
Heylo
and the
US Chamber of Connection
, designed to give community builders practical skills to bring their people together better.
Many community builders want to bring people together in real life, but struggle with low attendance, inconsistent turnout, or the stress of planning events from scratch each time.
This session will focus on the repeatable event systems that turn occasional meetups into thriving, well-attended gatherings. Chaselle will break down how she runs recurring community events that people genuinely look forward to — and how you can design event structures that naturally grow your community without constant reinvention.
This webinar is for community builders who want to stop guessing and start building event rhythms that create real belonging.
What we'll cover
The 3 biggest mistakes community leaders make when planning events
How to design simple, repeatable event formats that grow attendance over time
The promotion framework that consistently fills events
How to turn events into a core growth engine for your community

About the Speaker: Chaselle Gazelle Chaselle Gazelle is the founder of
Jacksonville Bestie
, a fast-growing social community that hosts recurring events bringing hundreds of besties together each month. As a Jacksonville native, Chaz constantly heard the complaint that there's nothing to do in Jacksonville — which she knew wasn't true — so instead of arguing in the DMs, she set out to make a change IRL.
Through her work, she has developed repeatable systems for planning, promoting, and scaling real-world events that strengthen community connection. Chaselle also teaches community leaders and entrepreneurs how to design events that are easy to run, consistently attended, and financially sustainable.
