Dominick knew that the community needed running events where people of color also felt empowered and represented, so he founded BLK SUMMER RUN CLUB, just a summer project to run together.
A year later, hundreds of people are showing up for his runs, and he has to figure out how to manage the group, keep everyone safe, handle collaborations, continue to grow, and more.
We'll do a deep dive in to what's been key to his success, and what he needs to work on going forward.
About Dominick:
Dominick Comery was born and raised in Tacoma Washington. Loving father to Nevaeh and Kalajia Comery. Graduated from University of Washington Tacoma. Bachelor degree in Urban Studies. Creator and community leader of BLK Summer Run Club in Tacoma, WA. A beautiful Black health and wellness community. Dominick uses running, music, and culture to bring people together and redefine what Black wellness looks like.
