It's Steel City Women's Collective's first official hike of 2026!! Welcome Spring and a new season of wellness by joining us for the first official hike of the year! 💐🎉
What's happening:
☕️ Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy put together a SCWC curated drink and sweet treat menu perfect for an evening pick-me-up before hitting the trails. Purchase is not required to attend the hike, but 100% of the proceeds go to PPC (aka our city parks!)
🐦 Cassie Ziegler (one of our very own admins!) is getting her Doctorate in Ornithology and will be talking birds along the hike, too! Some binoculars will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have some.
Schedule:
🕡 Arrive between 5:30PM-6PM to enjoy a bevy & mingle before the hike starts.
🕢 From 6PM-7PM, we will hike the Hollow Run Trail to Panther Hollow Lake, and back up and around Flagstaff Hill.
🕗 The cafe will be open late for their Tuesday Board Game Night, though this is totally optional (but fun) to join afterwards!
🏞 Expect a moderate hike (less than 2 miles), perfect for a Tuesday afternoon stroll.
🥾 Waterproof shoes or hiking boots are recommended as March rain tends to make the trails muddy.
🚗 Lots of street parking available near cafe & across from Phipps. Street parking is free after 6PM.
