Due to the nature of our work, and engagement in it by you our members, our community partner - Keswick Mountain Festival - has allocated a number of places for Black Trail Runners at their Skiddaw Mountain Run!
About: Aim for the skies on this exciting race to the summit of Skiddaw – the 6th tallest mountain in England – and back again to Crow Park. For those with the desire and legs, there is a race within a race, a timed ascent from Spooney Green Lane to the summit of Skiddaw, named the ‘Champion of Skiddaw’. This race is designed to attract all types of runners: fell, sky, trail, mountain, and road. Starting and finishing in Crow Park, the route is a tough and uncompromising "hill climb" to Skiddaw Summit before racing back down again to the finish line in Crow Park.There will be stage winners for reaching the summit fastest – as well as overall race winners to the finish line in Crow Park.
Distance: 20km Run with 1,070m of Elevation.
The deadline for applications is 23.59pm 30 January 2026. Successful applicants will be contacted by 6 February 2026.
