About
Community and adventure are the name of the game. Despite the abysmal snowpack, we’re making figurative lemonade (hot chocolate still included!). With very little snow on the trail, we’re turning this into an easy afternoon hike along a section of the Metolius-Windigo Trail, followed by a bonfire and hot chocolate.
Arrive at the trailhead by 12:30 pm; hike departs at 12:45 pm.
Location: Choose Your Own Adventure Style
Green: Meet at Sisters Coffee at noon to caravan to the trailhead.
Blue: Head to Sisters and enter 44.20364, -121.62583 into your Rivian navigation for a mostly paved route.
Black Diamond: From Bend, entering 44.20364, -121.62583 will take you on additional fire roads with muddy potholes aplenty.
Parking: 44.20364, -121.62583 (ample space).
What to bring: Hiking shoes; spikes (recommended); hiking poles (optional); warm layers; water; a mug for hot chocolate; and a camp chair (optional).
