Join us for an afternoon at one of downtown Durham's friendliest, most comfortable spots!
The Velvet Hippo has both indoor and outdoor spaces (w excellent heaters for those of us who prefer sitting outside), a huge drinks menu including low- and no-alcohol options, and a good "light bites" menu that goes beyond the usual bar fare.
The bar is dog-friendly, but doggos need to take the outside stairs a couple of doors down from the main entrance.
Parking: The Chapel Hill Street parking deck across from the Post Office is the closest - the bar is on the brick-paved alley beside the parking deck, on the 3rd floor of #119. Parking is free on weekends, but hold on to your ticket because sometimes you need it to get out of the lot.
