The wait is over. It's our last run of 2025 y'all! It’s time to look back at the trails that defined our year, and those we skipped with nary a second-thought, with Happy Trails Wrapped: Last Trails of 2025.
Nobody can blame us for having Wildwood Trail on repeat this year (we hit it on 78% of our routes), and we don't expect complaints for never running I-5 (0%). But we are gobsmacked that we barely scratched the surface of the magical Hoyt Arboretum (just 5%)! Ready to dive in? Meet us at the Zoo for a newfangled route to-and-fro Pittock that meanders through the Arboretum on the way out and returns on the ever trusty Wildwood (gotta pump those stats). We'll have 5.6 and 3.8ish mile options to keep us hankering for even more trails in the new year.
As always, all people, paces, and experience levels are welcome to join our runs. We'll regroup at intersections to make sure all folks make it through the Arboretum labyrinth.
Running starts around 9:09 to give folks time to fiddle with the parking kitty app (heads up below).
~ The Routes ~
-5.6 mile route:
Hit the top of Pittock one last time this year, then loop back to the zoo through the Arboretum.

Skip the climb to Pittock and loop back early to savor a crisp Arboretum finish at the zoo:

Whichever route you pick, we will still start and end together at the Wildwood Zoo Trailhead!
~ The Parking ~
Rumor has it parking is a steep $2.40/hour at the nearby zoo lot. But with free coffee afterward you'll break even in the end! Give yourself a few extra minutes to plug the (no-cash-accepted) parking meter.
~ What to Bring ~

Fleece penguin costume for staying warm afterward
