This beginner-focused workshop is designed to serve as a primer and first step into the world of mushroom cultivation, and to provide you with the tools and knowledge to begin your mushroom journey with confidence and safety.

Upon arrival, you’ll have an opportunity to settle in, mingle with fellow community members, and share a nourishing plant-based meal. (Allergens will be clearly listed)
After the meal, Mira & Alex will share their perspective on the best practices for working with sacred mushrooms.
The next part of the workshop will begin with a brief & simple introduction to mycology (the study of fungi) to learn what mushrooms are, about their use and importance, and what they need to thrive.
Afterwards, we will take some time to observe fruiting mushrooms at varying stages of development, where you will learn how to harvest fruits, manage environmental factors, and identify common issues.
