About
This immersive, day-long event is designed to help Central Oregon Rivian Club owners build real confidence and capability behind the wheel. Whether you’re brand new to off-roading or looking to sharpen your skills, this hands-on training will give you the knowledge and experience you need to explore Oregon’s wild places with ease.
The day begins with off-road driving basics tailored specifically to electric vehicles. You’ll learn how to understand terrain, select smart lines, manage traction, and make the most of your Rivian’s unique capabilities on uneven ground. From there, we’ll move into practical tire repair training and a deep dive into essential off-road gear—focusing on non-winch equipment that every responsible trail driver should know how to use.
In the afternoon, we’ll head into the backcountry for rope-based recovery practice, giving you safe, controlled opportunities to build recovery skills you can rely on when the unexpected happens. Then we’ll wrap the day with a scenic, guided run on the Horse Ridge Loop, putting your new skills to work in real trail conditions.
Lunch will not be provided, so please bring your own food and water for the day. Come ready to learn, practice, and connect with fellow Rivian enthusiasts as we explore what it means to drive—confidently and responsibly—beyond the pavement.
We have also worked with Oregon Adventure Trucks to assemble a custom
CORC Recovery Kit
with high quality gear that they recommend for your Rivian! These kits are not required for this event, but will be useful if you don't have one.
IMPORTANT - This event is capped at the first 14 participants (driver or passenger). The cost is $250 per person. Once you have registered here in Heylo and signed this
Liability Waiver
, we will send you a link to sign up and pay Oregon Adventure Trucks directly!
