About
We get it - joining a cycling club may sound intimidating for some (am I ready? Do I have the right clothes? Will my bike be ok? Isn’t that too intense for me?) or you may just feel that you’re still in the first stages of your cycling journey.
Worry not - we have organised a January social mixer. It’s a non-cycling event, open to everyone, whether you’re new to Queers On Wheels and have questions and doubts (we’d love if you could join us), a more regular member or someone who hasn’t been around in a while - everyone welcome!
What’s the plan?
A hike along a truly atmospheric bit of London’s capital ring. The idea is to walk through greenways, parks and canals for around 2 hours ending with a pub lunch in Stoke Newington.
📍Meeting point: outside Highgate tube station ⌚️ Hike starts: 10:10am - expected to finish at 12:30 🍕we will book a table at the Rose & Crown pub in Stokey for 12:30 (if case of storm or bad weather and the hike needs to be cancelled, we would still keep the booking for the social). The table will be available for us for beyond 2 hours (but you’re welcome to stay for longer or go pub crawling after, the night will tell 🫦) 🚨 please note: we can only guarantee a table for 25 people for lunch. We will ask you to pay a NON refundable (you can of course transfer it to someone else) £15 deposit which will be used to pay for food. All remaining balance to be settled between the group. We will share a Monzo link in the chat to collect payments - first come first served!
