About
Brooklyn's queer ghosts are getting restless! 👻
This Halloween, lace up for the gayest ghost tour Brooklyn has ever seen. We're summoning up forgotten stories, hidden histories, and the queer spirits who shaped the very streets we run on.
We’ll start and end at a local gay bar (naturally), making stops along the way where our guide will uncover the radical, romantic, and rebellious ghosts of Brooklyn’s queer past.
Inspired by the book When Brooklyn Was Queer, this run isn’t just about miles; it’s about reclaiming history, honoring our pioneers, and celebrating the 🕸️spookiness🕸️ of the queer community. This event is fun, active, and tangible way to recognize erased history especially in the face of modern campaigns to whitewash our past and present.
Featuring special guest NYC Council Member Chi Ossé!
✨ Start/end TBA (Clinton Hill, Brooklyn Navy Yard area) 💀 Tour will be ~5.5 miles over 75 minutes (very easy pace) 🧙‍♀️ Suggested donation of $10 benefiting the Brooklyn Community Pride Center ➡️
