we'll savor the dahlias at their fullest bloom, then gather around the bonfire for some potluck bites/drinks, an equinox ritual, and live music
blooms will also be available to purchase and harvest! address provided upon RSVP (located in Sperryville about 10 minutes from Wild Roots).
What we’ll provide
*plates, cups, napkins, and utensils will be available though we encourage you to help us in our commitment to sustainability by bringing your own reusable place setting
What to bring
*camp chairs or picnic blankets
*a potluck dish
*anything else you’d like to offer the community!

Saturday September 20th from 5 pm to 8 pm in Sperryville VA (address will be provided after RSVP)

This is a free community event! Please bring a dish to share with the community. Flowers will be available to purchase if you wish.
BIO
Mason Flink is a writer, composer, gardener, and community organizer living in Sperryville. He is currently overseeing the inaugural season of the market garden at Hoots Hollow, which will offer regeneratively grown cut flowers starting in May (you can follow along at "Man of the Flower" on Substack and Instagram). Before relocating to the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Mason lived for 15 years in Los Angeles, where he worked as a television writer/producer (Minx, Special, Love) and immersive performance artist. In addition to volunteering for progressive city council campaigns, he has also been an advocate for arts activism (Third Space, Writers Guild of America), urban agriculture (LA Food Policy Council) and public green space (Garden City LA).
