About
please read in full It’s almost time for our annual weekend trip to the Catskills in Upstate New York to check out the amazing colors of the trees during peak fall foliage season. We will plan at least one hike (but probably 2 depending on weather), bonfires, cookouts, stargazing, and crowdsource other activities but everything will be optional (and at your own risk), for the weekend. The estimated cost of the cabin (shared kitchen and bathroom, but has a living room and fireplace) is about $250-300 per person and about $200 per shared room at the main lodge (which has two single beds and a private bathroom) although this may change depending on headcount and availability. This cost, including fees, tax and tips, go straight to the lodge and we are not profiting from it! We will also chip in for snacks, food, and drinks and try to be as cost conscious as possible (we will try to keep it under $65-75 per person for the weekend - let’s go Costco!).
We will be collecting a $50 non refundable deposit per person to secure the rooms and cabins. RSVP as “interested” only until the host confirms that you are going and has collected your deposit. It’s New York and everything sells out and we were beyond capacity last year. We will open it up to members with over 5 check ins so that we get to know each other beforehand as opposed to just having rOnce you’ve provided your deposit and we’ve confirmed that you’re attending, we will add you to the official weekend chat group to coordinate logistics and details. Space will be limited so we will give priority to people that have been to official No Name Heylo events first (just to be fair to the group and so we have a better chance of knowing the people we’re camping with). Questions, comments, concerns? Hit me up 🤙.
Administrative and not so fun note: We are simply coordinating this trip. We are not tour operators, hiking guides, or babysitters. While we look out for each other, each person is responsible for their own safety and well being and you should only do things you are comfortable with. All activities are optional and done at your own risk. We’re not pointing this out to scare anyone, but even though these things should be obvious we just have to make these points clear. Now that said, we’re looking forward to having a great time again this year!
