About
I reserved 2 sites for 4 tents. Send me a PM if you want to come. If I tell you you need to book more sites then please book here:
https://resnexus.com/.../91019087-D6FC-4B46-A67F
...
Check in: Sept 5, 2025 Check out: Sept 7, 2025 Change the dropdown to: '1 Guest Age 6 & over', unless you are coming with someone Tick 'campsites' Then click on 'Search'
Should be $40/night and $80 for the 2 nights. If they ask for an additional name. Just add 'Guido Gaeffke'. Each site holds 2 tents; each tent is $40. Note that there are no camp site numbers. I'll try to get there around 3pm so that I can get the sites close to each other with a bit of shade. Once you get to the resort send me a PM and I'll let you know where I am. Each 'spot' has a picnic table and fire ring. Showers and toilets are available but not an electrical outlet to charge phones, etc. The advantage of camping at Blue Mountain is that you can do the following: • High Rope Course + zip lining (Friday Night) • Downhill Mountain Biking • Hiking • Zip lining and rock climbing on their adventure tower • Floating down the Lehigh River • Taking a Segway tour • Play a round of disc golf
We will be camping in the valley (near the pond) but on Friday night we will most likely go to Riverwalck Saloon in Parryville. There they have great drinks, big fire pits and a nightclub. Or we can do the high rope course at Blue Mountain and have food and drinks on top of Blue at the SlopeSide Bar & Restaurant.
We will be doing 2 main activities:
floating down the Lehigh River from Lehighton. That is a 3-4hr float depending on the current. So bring a good river tube!
Ride a bike 25 miles thru the Lehigh Gorge. We'll get an outfit to bring us and a bike from Jim Thorpe to the start point and then ride back to Jim Thorpe. To read more about the trail and to rent the bike and transportation check out
www.poconobiking.com
I'll finalize what we do on which day depending on the weather forecast. Will try to nail it down the program a week before getting there. Hopefully they will still have bikes to rent.
If you do not want to you can hit the beach at Beltzville Lake that is close by, or go mountain biking.
Note that you have to sign up for activities such as the Friday night high rope course and any other activities you want to do there at:
https://www.shopskibluemt.com/
Sign up early since the Friday night high rope course sells out quickly. If you would like to try downhill mountain biking then you can rent a bike, helmet and protective gear on site (or bring your own).
In the valley they have a camp store that sells firewood and other essentials. The rules state that we cannot bring our own wood...
Everyone needs to complete the Blue Mountain waiver here:
