Join Farmer Shy of Shy's Fresh Eats for a reflective and hands-on herbal workshop focused on deepening your understanding of wellness herbs and reconnecting with plant-based healing practices.
In this experience, participants will be introduced to a variety of healing herbs — such as lemon balm, peppermint, chamomile, nettle, holy basil, and more — and learn how each supports the body, mind, and spirit. Through guided discussion, we’ll explore the physical and emotional benefits of these herbs, while holding space for each participant to set a personal intention for what they hope to cultivate in their own body this season: rest, energy, clarity, joy, grounding, or renewal.
Participants will then design a custom herbal tea recipe — not by mixing herbs on-site, but by thoughtfully selecting herbs and recording their blend on a personalized recipe card to try at home. This mental blending process allows for reflection, intentionality, and future practice.
The hands-on component of the workshop will come to life as each participant plants a medicinal herb seedling — such as mint, lemon balm, or tulsi — to take home and grow in their garden, windowsill, or community plot. We’ll provide care instructions and tips for harvesting your herb to begin your own wellness rituals.
By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with:
• Knowledge about the benefits of common wellness herbs
• A custom tea recipe card tailored to their personal intention
• A live herb plant to grow and harvest at home
• A renewed connection to plants as allies in healing and self-determination
